Yesterday we went to the Gemeentemuseum in the Hague to see an exhibition of paintings by Jozef and Isaac Israels. Both belong to the Hague School. The paintings by fatherJoseph Israels are excellent but I prefer the unpolished , dynamic and sketchy  touch of his son Isaac. According to Isaac Israels you should not work longer than 2 hours at a row to maintain your freshness in painting.
